Community Ministry
The non-school based FCA ministries reach the community through partnerships with the local churches, businesses, parents and volunteers. These ministries not only reach out to the community, but also allow the community to invest in athletes and coaches.
Community Ministries include: Stewardship Ministries, Adult Ministries, Sport-Specific Ministries, Membership, Urban Initiatives, Global Sports Development, Clinics, Product and Resource Development, and Professional Athlete Ministries.
The Greater Peoria Area's Community Ministry Focus
There are two main events that are the Greater Peoria Area's community ministry focus. They are the area's two major partnership events.
The first is the Home Team Banquet. This is an annual banquet that consists of an opportunity to see how the Greater Peoria Area FCA is impacting the lives of atheltes and coaches...along with a challenge to partner in the ministry of FCA in the Peoria Area. There is a dinner and a guest speaker who is usually a former or current professional athlete.
The other event is the annual FCA State Qualifying Golf Sramble. This continues to be held at WeaverRidge Golf Club. The day consists of golfing with a meal and prizes following. A good time is had by all.
For information regarding either of these events please contact Cole via phone or email. Other Ways That You Can Be Involved
While the banquet and golf scramble are the two main focuses of how the community partners with the Greater Peoria Area FCA, there are many other ways that you can partner with us. These include being a part of our Prayer Team, a financial partner, or volunteering in an area of the ministry. If you would like more information regarding any of these ways to partner with the ministry, please contact Cole via phone or email. |
